I am honored to stand with Moms Demand Action advocates in the fight for gun sense policies to build a safer future for Knoxville. As a mom, this issue is deeply personal to me. Everyone deserves to grow up feeling safe in their neighborhood, and no parent should have to worry about gun violence stealing their child’s future.

Reducing gun violence and protecting our youth starts with investing in proven, preventative solutions. I will work to expand community violence interruption programs, support youth mentorship initiatives, and advocate for stronger collaboration between City government, our schools, law enforcement, and grassroots organizations like Moms Demand to end gun violence once and for all.

I am proud to have earned the Harvey Broome Group of the Sierra Club support as their endorsed candidate in the 1st District. Protecting green spaces and our natural resources is a foundational part of my campaign and my vision for representing South Knoxville and Fort Sanders on City Council.

I’m ready to bring my past and current experience working for sustainability to the forefront on City Council — from service on Ijams Nature Center’s board and Bike Walk Knoxville’s Advisory Council, to neighborhood clean-ups and urging hillside protection, heat resiliency, conservation, and connectivity. I look forward to bringing innovative and thoughtful solutions — centering sustainability and environmental justice — for challenges facing our city.
